And on the 8th Day, Dan Created a Blog

Ok, so “8th Day” may be more hyperbole than fact, but the fact remains that I have now created a blog, and you are reading my first blog post… ever. Check out the About section of the blog for a bit more detail on who I am and what this blog is all about, and feel free to check out the other areas that are likely not yet working/broken/indicative of this being my first blogging attempt.

The goal here is to create an informative and entertaining source of information for those that really HATE litigation – the clients and in-house counsel who have to live through it and pay (often significantly) for the pleasure of the litigation experience. This is not a blog dedicated to summarizing the latest appellate court decision or providing detailed insights into obscure legal principles such as the rule against perpetuities (if you held a gun to my head, I probably couldn’t help you with that one). What I’m hoping for is to provide practical tips and real-world information that, with any luck, will better prepare you for litigation, prevent a few headaches, and maybe even save you a few bucks on legal fees. Lofty goals, but hey, I’m a glass-half-full type of guy.

I can’t promise the information will always be relevant to your particular business and/or industry, but I will nonetheless always try to keep you entertained (which is no small feat when we’re talking about a subject as dry as the Sahara Desert).
